Last month we had a wonderful visit with my folks. Sabin and Grandpa had a wonderful time learning to walk and playing catch.
It was fun to play hostess. I tried to impress them with healthy, home cooking. (Dad even ate spinach in his scrambled eggs.... and liked it.) We also showed them some of the sites. Colorado really is a beautiful place. We drove them up into the mountains more than once.
We all enjoyed taking Sabin out for his first boat ride. He didn't last long on the water, but he had a good time.
While they were here Sabin celebrated his first birthday with a bite of whipped cream (which he didn't much care for) and a treck across the Royal Gorge Bridge. Grandpa and Grandma got him a set of wooden blocks. (Pictured above. Sabin enjoys knocking down castles.

When the week was over we were sad to see them go.
And Grandpa was a little sad that Sabin was not yet walking.
