Just for Fun

Sabin was so excited to go trick-or-treating this evening that he could hardly wait. So we did some fun things to enjoy our day. We painted our window with special window markers. We made spiders from parts of an egg carton. But the best was eating marshmallows hanging from a string.

Please note that Chloё is "not" using her hands, because [she is] only "touching the string" and if she "didn't hold the string, the donuts would swing around". (Her explanation in quotes) Later we played again and daddy even got in on the act. Unfortunately, no pictures were taken of the second round.

Playing Pretend

The littles have been adorable lately with all their pretend play. On this chilly day they were at "Chloё's House" having lunch. No those are not apples. Look closely and you will see just how much my silly children enjoy red sweet peppers.

The weather was chilly. But they begged to be barefoot. We compromised on sandals and they played outside for hours.

Patriotism

Apparently we have some very patriotic squirrels. The flag was stolen from the front porch of our next door neighbor.

Our First Snow Day!

We happily awoke to a world of white this morning.
Everyone worked together to shovel the sidewalks and clear off the vehicles.

We also went sledding before going inside for some hot chocolate.

Then we carved jack-o'-lanterns from the pumpkins we picked from the CSA farm pumpkin patch.

Sabin chose a big fat pumpkin.

Chloё chose a "little tiny one".
I had picked out a large pumpkin for her thinking that she might change her mind later, but she never did. She loves everything little and tiny.
