Sleep

Mama's Shoulder
(I spend a lot of time here.)
  Daddy
(It may look uncomfortable, but ooh it's nice.)
 with my brother and sister
(these two just can't get enough of me)
on rare occasions, all by myself
(mama tries to trick me by wrapping me up, but I know I'm alone. A quick cat nap and I'm back with my peeps.)

An Early Spring

I love lilacs. And they remind me of birthdays and babies. But they are early this year. I don't think they'll last until the first of May.

Chloё's Flowers

Chloё loves flowers! And spring is so much more fun because of her enthusiasm. Everywhere we go she points out excitedly points out every flower we see. She and I, along with Cohen of course, took a special trip to our local nursery to get flowers for our Easter garden. She was thrilled! Running from flower to flower, she cried out, "Mama! Look! Pink flowers!" and "Mama! Look! Yellow flowers!" With each new flower she went through the same thing. We toured the entire nursery this way. At one point she begged, "Mama. Can I smell the flowers"

"Yes, Chloё," I answered smiling. "Flowers are made for smelling."

"This one smells soooo good!" She squealed. Then, "Mama! Can I touch the flowers?" and she touched them so gently. I thought for suew she'd be begging for an entire cart-full of blooms; however, she happily picked out just one little six-pack of pansies. The entire trip was such a delight.

I didn't have my camera that day. Who knew I'd need it? But I did for this...

The Little Surrogate

We added a few chicks to our flock. Three 3wk old Leghorns. Sabin is the appointed caretaker and adores his new job. (He has even given flying lessons to each chick, but that's another story.)

Doesn't he make an adorable mother hen?!

Easter Garden

This week we planted our "Easter Garden". We planted wheat grass seeds and lettuce

I've been telling the children the stories of Jesus' final week using little pipe cleaner people we made last year. Yesterday we buried Jesus. My sweet littkes were even sad when we sealed the  tomb. But Sabin now knows history and quickly told Chloё not to worry that Jesus would came alive again.

Today they have asked several times When? "When will Jesus com alive again?"

Tonight I will plant the pansies that Chloё and I chose from the garden nursery in the garden. And I will remove our Jesus from the tomb and place him amongst the flowers. Tomorrow we will celebrate.

Instead of Keeping House

I could have tried to put a dent in that ever-growing pile of laundry today. I could have dusted, or vacuumed, or mopped my filthy floor. I could have wiped toothpaste from the mirrors and nose prints from the windows. I could have spent more time cooking a better meal for my family.

Instead I spent the day with my Littles...

And building this was much more fun!

(We plan to plant peas at the base of it so that it will offer more shade. It was a great way to use up the shrub clippings.)

Sweet Baby Cohen - 7 weeks

And look at what I captured today...
The entire week after that first smile we barely saw a glimpse. Poor Grandpa and Grandma. But today he smiled and smiled. And thanks to Sabin, I even got this picture! So much cuteness! I can hardly stand it. I'm all grins myself just looking at it.
