Hot Enough to Melt

It's been100+' around here. This morning the Littles wanted to color their houses (washer and dryer boxes we got from the neighbor). It quickly got too warm for coloring outside so we decided to try an experiment.

We took the broken bit of crayon, peeled the paper off and tossed them into muffin papers. Then we set them in a baking dish and placed them on our picnic table on our patio.

An hour later we came back to check.

Then we took the now liquid crayon into the house. Popped them into the fridge for quicker results. Peeled off the muffin paper... and ta-da rainbow crayons.

Lobster Lovin'

Long after he was tucked into bed, we heard snickering in the bedroom. Upon investigation I found a crazy lobster boy semi-quietly dancing on the bed. (Nope, it did not occur to me to tell him that he could not dress in costume at bedtime.)

I couldn't stop laughing to say anything more than "go see your father".

 The last time he wore this costume....

CSA Processing Team

Every week we now go pick up our share of goodies from our CSA (community supported agriculture). We set up a plan to all work together and get it washed, sorted and put away to be canned, frozen, or eaten over the next few days. We LOVE all the fresh fruits and veggies.
